Teeth So soon?

Why on earth would a 4 month old get teeth? Last sunday we were sitting in Relief Society at church and Melissa was holding Ella. A few minutes in she turns to me and says, "Ouch, did you know Ella has teeth?" I sure didn't. I had checked a few days earlier to see and couldn't find anything. Well, yes she now has her two bottom teeth and knows how to use them. Pray we can teach her not to bit so we don't have to go strictly to the bottle! Kenna didn't get her first tooth until 8 months! It's amazing how different the two girls we have are but they are both loved the same. They are so sweet and innocent even when they are bein little stinkers!

Happy Halloween!

Kenna woke up this morning and brought her costume down first thing and asked if we could go out and get some pictures! I am glad she loves having her picture taken! It makes it much easier than fighting to get her to smile! The weather was perfect today so we went out and did a little photo shoot! Sorry, you get the undedited version of these because I can't find my photoshop disc and it is having stress on my computer!  Halloween this year was lots of fun! Kenna thought trick-or-treating was AWESOME! She would run to the house hysterically laughing and did such a good job saying, "trick-or-treat" when they opened the door. She thought it was great when she got candy in return.
Our  little strawberry was not super impressed with her costume, but I am glad we got some cute pictures. Hopefully the weather will be just good tomorrow and we will do some pics of the girls!

CEREAL....YUCK!!

Today Ella had her 4 month check-up. She weighs 15lbs 6oz and is 25 1/4 inch long! Dr. Visick said she was doing great and when we wanted we could try giving her some rice cereal. I decided to wait till Dustin got home so he could be a part of it! A great part he served! To say that it didn't go well would be an understatement! I mixed the cereal with some milk thinking she might be okay with it...NOT! The sequence of pictures pretty much explains what she thought of my tainted milk! The only photos not presented in this blog are the ones of the vomit shooting out of her mouth and all over Dustin and him yelling for me to get a towel TODAY! (I was laughing too hard!) Well, needless to say, I have a picky eater and it is going to take some time to get the little one to eat anything besides milk! Thanks Dustin for being the puke catcher!

Two months old!!!

Well at our two month check-up we realized we have a CHUBBY baby!!!! ha ha She weighs 12 lbs 14 oz (95%) and she is 24 inches long (92%)! She is 10 oz heavier and 1 inch longer than Kenna was at this age! The doctor said she is doing well! She did have to get her shots which were no fun at all. She is getting so smiley I love it. She wants to talk so bad but just can't! She makes the cutest little noises when you talk to her! I would love to know what she does and what is going on in her mind! I love having two girls to keep me busy all day!

ThReE aLrEaDy?!?!?!

I can't believe that in two weeks Kenna is going to be three years old! Time flies by way too fast!
To celebrate the growing girl here are a few great things to remember about Kenna:

*She LOVES having her picture taken!
*She loves her "baby sister"
*She asks me everyday when she can go to preschool!
*She wants to play "her soccer game and you will come watch me play!"
*She keeps us on our toes and makes life both fun and interesting!
*She has a cute little giggle and is always happy! (for the most part!!!)
*She keeps me in line with exercise by bringing me my exercise video everyday and asking if we can exercise!
We love you Kenna and it is quite boring when you are gone!

A few of her favorites:
Food: Cereal or "peanut butter sandwich and peach jam!"
Color: purple
Movie: Barbie (I don't know if I'll survive watching it one more time!)
Book: Pepper goes to school
Cartoon: Dinosaur Train
Favorite way to do her hair: Ponytail
Favorite thing to do: go for a walk (We did much of this at the end of my pregnancy!)

Bawl Like a baby!!!

As many of you may know, you get rather emotional after having a baby with all of the hormone changes. Well, with Kenna around apparently I can't get too emotional! We were sitting at the dinner table yesterday and I was having a rough time being sleep deprived, having a sassy three year old, and being emotional from just having a baby that I started to cry. When Kenna noticed I was crying she said, "mom, you don't bawl like a baby, I bawl like a baby!" I couldn't do anything but laugh when she said that. The best part was when I was laughing, she just kept explaining to me that I couldn't bawl and she was the only one who could!

Ella Ann Clark

Well, our little girl decided to come! She was born June 4, 2010. She was 11 days early and very healthy! She weighed 7 lbs 10 oz and was 20 inches long! Kenna was very excited to have a new baby sister and has been very good...for now! Let's hope it sticks. She loves to tell her good morning every single day! She will come running in our bedroom and peek in the cradle and say, "hi sweety."
The other day Kenna came running into our room and looked in the cradle as she was walking out I said, "Kenna, do you want to come lay by us?" (Ella was in bed by me) She ignored me and walked out. I heard her walk through the kitchen to the living room and then she came back to our bedroom door and said, "Mom, the baby is gone!" I started laughing and told her she was laying by me! Kenna gets quite concerned about Ella!
I do have to say I am very grateful for my husband. I didn't think I was in labor. I had had a few uncomfortable contractions at home and they were getting better. He told me we were going to the hospital and I wanted to wait. I told him if we went we couldn't call his parent's until we knew if they were keeping me because his parents were leaving with their friends on a little weekend getaway! He walked over to the neighbors house and asked them if Kenna could come and play while we went. He somehow got me in the car and started driving! On the way I only had three contractions and was positive I was not having a baby. I kept telling him, "I don't know, I don't think I'm in labor." I told him to stop at his parents as they had already left and we could wait and see what happens. He told me I was too ornery and drove straight to the hospital so we could have a baby! Well, it's a good thing he did. We got to the hospital at 5pm and Ella was born at 10:08pm. The nurse said if my water would have broke at home, Dustin would of delivered the baby! Maybe one day I'll learn to listen! Everything went perfect and I couldn't be more grateful. This labor was all me and I was very happy to not have to have pitocin to help because those contractions are painful! We are so happy to have little Ella in our family and she is such a sweet baby. Kenna loves her "baby sister" and has been a great little helper!

CoMe OUT BaBy!!!

Well, I will be 39 weeks on Tuesday, I am dilated to 4cm, baby has dropped way low, and my doctor is going out of town today until the 14th so I can't schedule an induction! I am hoping I just go into labor but who knows if my contractions will decide to get any closer together! I asked about being induced on Monday and my doc said to wait and see what I am dilated to and then her NP who I am seeing Monday can ask the doc on call if I can go upstairs! UNLESS...... I am dilated farther and she doesn't feel comfortable with me being at 5cm and still contracting! I am crossing my fingers that I can get myself to a 5 by then! My doc predicts I will not make it to Monday but who knows! The end of pregnancy is one big head game! You have contractions for a while and then they stop! It's like the little stinker you have in your belly is saying, "ha ha, just kidding, I'm not coming yet!"  I have jumped on the tramp, gone for lots of walks, climbed stairs, did my exercise videos, and a few other methods the doctor told me to go home and try! I know this baby will come when she is ready but I am getting anxious to meet her! I guess we will just have to wait and see what the weekend brings!
With my luck the contractions will really start and I will be so afraid of getting sent home that I will wait too long and not make it until I am 8cm!!! Then who knows if I would get my epidural and I really don't want to deliver natural! OUCH!!!!
Okay, I will quit babbling my frustrations! I just want a new little baby to hold and Kenna is so excited to meet her! This weekend would be great!!!

Finally 36 weeks!!!

YAY!!! I am finally 36 weeks along! Only one more month to go! I had a doctors appointment today! I am dilated to 1cm 70% effaced, my cervix is very soft and the baby's head is down in my pelvis! I am only measuring one week ahead instead of two (darn) so maybe I will get lucky!  I am very excited for this! I figure if I am going to have contractions, they better be doing something! I only gained one pound from 2 weeks ago so I only weigh 13 pounds more than my husband! That is depressing but at least the gap isn't rapidly growing anymore!
Hopefully this baby doesn't wait until my due date to come! Hopefully only two more weeks but we will see!

34 WEEKS!!!

Well, went to the doctor yesterday and everything looks good! Baby's head is down just not all the way engaged yet! I am now measuring one week ahead and only gained two pounds! Yay!!! She said she won't worry a whole lot unless she checks me next week or at 37 weeks and I am walking around dilated to a 4. Maybe she'll induce me at 38 weeks for risk of rapid labor!! She was just worried because I didn't push very long with Kenna and she was a big baby! I won't get my hopes up to high yet! I just really don't want to have a baby in the car! That could be scary!
We are getting very excited to have a new little one in the house. All of her clothes are washed and hanging in the closet! I am a little nervous about how Kenna will be! She loves to help but sometimes it is just a little too much! Maybe after getting after her all the time, she will figure it out! We may have a little jealousy issue! Kenna keeps telling me she's the baby not a big girl so we'll have to see what happens! I will keep you updated and hopefully get a picture of my belly before the pregnancy is over!

Pregnancy Update!

I went to the doctor today and I gained another 4 lbs! I am not enjoying the weight gain AT ALL!!! Plus I weigh more than Dustin now!!! That is never supposed to happen! Dr. Craig told me I am right on track and will probably gain 35 lbs total again! I have tried so hard to gain less than I gained with Kenna but I guess it's not going to happen. She told me that is perfect because I was to thin for my height to begin with. I guess that should make me feel better right?
Anyways, on to the baby! Well, she sounded good, however, I have been told I am going to have a healthy sized baby! GREAT!!! That is just what I wanted. A nine pounder! I am measuring two weeks ahead and my belly is all baby! Maybe I'll go into labor two weeks early and I can have an average sized baby! Kenna weighed 8.8 and was 20 1/2 inches long. Let's hope this one is not 9.8 lbs like the doctor said I would be able to handle. Only ten more weeks to go!
Okay, I am finished venting now! I do have to admit that this pregnancy has been much better than the first! I am no longer throwing up, I can exercise almost everyday and my back does not hurt near as bad as I remember with Kenna! The heartburn sucks but that is something that I believe everyone gets when they get a big pregnant belly! I will post some pictures when I get Dustin to take some!

The joy of baby naming!

Well, we cannot decide on a name of course! Dustin never has an opinion on much until it comes to naming one of his little girls! He quickly becomes very opinionated when the task arises! We have it narrowed down to about ten names now! Hopefully by the time this baby comes we can at least have it narrowed down to two! If we were having a boy, we agree on three names and it would have been easy, however, we are having another girl and are going to battle till the end! If anyone has any suggestions, let me know!

Pregnancy

Aside from the heartburn, zits, and backaches this pregnancy is going great!!! I am now 24 weeks with 16 more to go!!! I have enjoyed not being near as sick as I was with Kenna! She enjoys exercising with me everyday!!! Well actually, it usually turns into her running circles around me as I try not to trip over her but thats ok. We are very excited to be having another baby and can't wait until she comes! Kenna likes to push on my stomach and yell, "wake up baby!" I think she is excited too until baby doesn't leave and she has to share mommy! The other day Kenna lifted up my shirt and said, "mom,  I see your buddha belly." That makes you feel wonderful when you already feel big!!!
It is definitely a different experience going through a pregnancy with a two year old but it is a lot of fun!

Little Girls!!!

Well, it looks like Dustin is going to be outnumbered for quite a while!!! We are having another baby girl!!!!!
