Ella Ann Clark

Well, our little girl decided to come! She was born June 4, 2010. She was 11 days early and very healthy! She weighed 7 lbs 10 oz and was 20 inches long! Kenna was very excited to have a new baby sister and has been very good...for now! Let's hope it sticks. She loves to tell her good morning every single day! She will come running in our bedroom and peek in the cradle and say, "hi sweety."
The other day Kenna came running into our room and looked in the cradle as she was walking out I said, "Kenna, do you want to come lay by us?" (Ella was in bed by me) She ignored me and walked out. I heard her walk through the kitchen to the living room and then she came back to our bedroom door and said, "Mom, the baby is gone!" I started laughing and told her she was laying by me! Kenna gets quite concerned about Ella!
I do have to say I am very grateful for my husband. I didn't think I was in labor. I had had a few uncomfortable contractions at home and they were getting better. He told me we were going to the hospital and I wanted to wait. I told him if we went we couldn't call his parent's until we knew if they were keeping me because his parents were leaving with their friends on a little weekend getaway! He walked over to the neighbors house and asked them if Kenna could come and play while we went. He somehow got me in the car and started driving! On the way I only had three contractions and was positive I was not having a baby. I kept telling him, "I don't know, I don't think I'm in labor." I told him to stop at his parents as they had already left and we could wait and see what happens. He told me I was too ornery and drove straight to the hospital so we could have a baby! Well, it's a good thing he did. We got to the hospital at 5pm and Ella was born at 10:08pm. The nurse said if my water would have broke at home, Dustin would of delivered the baby! Maybe one day I'll learn to listen! Everything went perfect and I couldn't be more grateful. This labor was all me and I was very happy to not have to have pitocin to help because those contractions are painful! We are so happy to have little Ella in our family and she is such a sweet baby. Kenna loves her "baby sister" and has been a great little helper!

CoMe OUT BaBy!!!

Well, I will be 39 weeks on Tuesday, I am dilated to 4cm, baby has dropped way low, and my doctor is going out of town today until the 14th so I can't schedule an induction! I am hoping I just go into labor but who knows if my contractions will decide to get any closer together! I asked about being induced on Monday and my doc said to wait and see what I am dilated to and then her NP who I am seeing Monday can ask the doc on call if I can go upstairs! UNLESS...... I am dilated farther and she doesn't feel comfortable with me being at 5cm and still contracting! I am crossing my fingers that I can get myself to a 5 by then! My doc predicts I will not make it to Monday but who knows! The end of pregnancy is one big head game! You have contractions for a while and then they stop! It's like the little stinker you have in your belly is saying, "ha ha, just kidding, I'm not coming yet!"  I have jumped on the tramp, gone for lots of walks, climbed stairs, did my exercise videos, and a few other methods the doctor told me to go home and try! I know this baby will come when she is ready but I am getting anxious to meet her! I guess we will just have to wait and see what the weekend brings!
With my luck the contractions will really start and I will be so afraid of getting sent home that I will wait too long and not make it until I am 8cm!!! Then who knows if I would get my epidural and I really don't want to deliver natural! OUCH!!!!
Okay, I will quit babbling my frustrations! I just want a new little baby to hold and Kenna is so excited to meet her! This weekend would be great!!!
